Two-hour long walking tour through the old town of Koblenz. Our tour will begin at 7pm on the steps of the Kaiser Wilhelm monument at the ‘Deutsche Eck.’ Enjoy the highlights of the historic old town of Koblenz, many idyllic squares, the Schängelbrunnen fountain at the Town Hall and the Forum Confluentes. We will walk by the Electoral Palace, which is part of the Rhine Gorge UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of the most important neoclassical palaces in the southwest of Germany. We will also discover many idyllic squares, such as the Münzplatz. In this location the Romans once founded “Castellum apud confluentes” (Castle at the rivers that flow together), which is where the name "Koblenz" derives from. We will stroll through scenic alleys between the Basilika St. Kastor and Liebfrauenkriche and discover one of the oldest and most beautiful towns in Germany.
The tour will be offered in either German or English.

We will leave Koblenz by ship at 7pm. Our journey will take us around the "Deutsches Eck" and down the river Moselle to see the historic old town of Koblenz and back into the river Rhine up to Boppard. On your way through the UNESCO world heritage site Upper Middle Rhine Valley we will be passing through the scenic Rhine Gorge. The beauty of the Rhine hillsides covered in vines has inspired many poets, such as Heinrich Heine. During the cruise we will enjoy stunning views of some of the most beautiful castles on the Rhine, such as Ehrenbreitstein Fortress in Koblenz, the romantic Stolzenfels castle, and the Marksburg, which dates back to the 12th century. Tour guides will explain the history of these places in both German and English.
During the cruise a buffet dinner is offered.
We arrive back in Koblenz around 10 pm but you are welcome to stay on board until 11pm.

Fortress Ehrenbreitstein

Ehrenbreitstein Fortress

Discover the 5.000 years of history of the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress from Roman fortifications, knight’s castles through to a Prussian fortress - a guided tour shows you “original scenes” and brings history to life. Enjoy the fantastic views over Koblenz and the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers from 118 metres above the Rhine already on your way to the Fortress by taking the Koblenz cable car. The station is directly next to the fortress. A journey on the cable car over the Rhine offers spectacular views of the UNESCO “Upper Middle Rhine” world heritage site.
